Zankovich, Valentin Pavlovich

Valentin Pavlovich Zankovich (born June 5, 1937 , Priluki , Minsk district , Minsk region ) - Soviet and Belarusian architect , sculptor , Lenin Prize laureate (1970), Lenin Komsomol Prize of Belarus (1967).

Biography

Born in Minsk in a family of teachers [1] . He graduated from BPI in 1959 , the Belarusian Theater and Art Institute in 1976 . From 1960 to 1970 , he worked at the Minskproject Design Institute.

Creativity

Main works: memorial complexes "Katyusha" (et al., 1967) in Orsha , " Khatyn " (et al., 1968), " Brest Fortress Hero " (et al., 1973), monumental and decorative composition "Running" at the Dynamo stadium (1980), Winter on Pobediteley Avenue (1982) in Minsk , Work (1987), busts of Y. Kupala , Y. Kolas (1981), easel compositions “Push the Core” (1983), “Hero City Fights”, “Spartak”, “Eve” (all 1985), “Nemiga” (1993), “Zeus”, “Summer” (both 1995) “Autumn”, “Winter”, “Spring” (1996) ), the monument " Minsk - hero city " (co-author, 1985).
