Creation History

Concert

On the eve of the concert at the entrance to Moscow, the bus with the band members got stuck in traffic, from which they managed to break out only at four in the morning. Already at 11 o’clock a soundcheck was appointed in the club, but due to a pipe break and flooding, everything shifted. However, this did not affect the audience and the concert started at the scheduled time. The French Navy Sidilarsen acted as the opening act for the Northern Fleet, with which the musicians swept across France and then across Russia as part of a cultural exchange. For the sake of filming the DVD, the Northern Fleet presented a special expanded program - even the song “The Last Man on Earth”, rare in concert set lists, sounded, and also decided to focus on the footage. Musicians eagerly communicated with the audience. " Alexander Pied Piper" Alexander Leontyev described as a song about the dangers of drugs, and about "Strela" he recalled that this is the first song of the group. The guitarist Yakov Zvirkunov also acted as a full entertainer, who, for example, before the song “210” said that 3 musicians ride motorbikes in the group, so “we sing the song for ourselves.” These and other fragments of the group’s communication with the audience were included in the final version of the album. The performance of the Northern Fleet gathered more than 2000 spectators [4] .

Crowdfunding Project

Shortly before the concert, on November 6, 2016, the Northern Fleet musicians launched a crowdfunding project in support of the release of the concert album on the Planeta.ru platform [5] . The required amount, 500 thousand rubles, was collected by December 17. February 23, 2017 became available pre-order the album iTunes and Google Play. On February 26, a closed preview of the film concert at the Moscow Chine-Town club took place for the project’s shareholders. By the time the project was completed, February 28, an amount was collected that was almost double the declared amount - 966 106 rubles. March 4 was a closed pre-show in St. Petersburg. On March 8, a digital version of the film and album was distributed to shareholders. March 9 Live in Moscow was published on the official Internet resources of the group.
