History
Opened in 1876 by decree of the Governor-General of Western Siberia, Nikolai Gennadievich Kaznakov . It was located at the former Tara gates (the current address is Tarskaya Street , 2)
The building of the gymnasium was designed by the architect E. I. Ezeta [1] . On December 1, 1881, a graduate of Kazan University full state councilor A.V. Popov was appointed director of the gymnasium, and in the gymnasium he also began to teach Greek.
Education was paid (1894 - 40 rubles per year, in 1916 - 60 rubles).
In 1920, in accordance with the instructions of the People's Commissariat of Education, the gymnasium was closed, at its base a secondary school was organized. V.I. Lenin 2 steps [2] .
New Story
During World War II, the school was occupied by an evacuation hospital.
In 1954, secondary school No. 19 was opened in this building. Poet R. Rozhdestvensky , a professor of painting S. Belov , a composer V. Uspensky , and a dynasty of physicians of the Chulovskys and Maslovs studied here.
On the centenary, in 1976, the school was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor, and then she moved to a new typical building. On the old building there are several memorial plaques. Now it houses the “Institute for the Development of Education in the Omsk Region” [3] .
In 1990, by decision of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the status of the gymnasium was returned to the school. All historical materials are carefully stored in the museum gymnasium. Currently it is one of the most prestigious educational institutions of Omsk.
