Akintievo

The village of Akintyevo is located in a lowland, in the upper reaches of the Chern River , 95 kilometers from Tula and 25 kilometers from Cherni .

The lands of the village of Akintyevo, very fertile, were bought up by the princes Gagarin and Yusupov , who lived in St. Petersburg. The manager Goryachev was in charge of all affairs in the village of Akintyevo. There was a distillery. The fields around the village were planted with potatoes, which were subsequently converted to alcohol for further sale at the Skuratovo and Gorbachevo railway stations. The products were delivered on a cobblestone road. The peasants of the village of Akintyevo felted felt boots for themselves and for sale. In the village, in addition to agriculture, they were engaged in afforestation, beekeeping, animal husbandry and cheese making were widely developed. Fairs were organized in the village.

The temple was destroyed by fire, presumably in 1820 . And instead of the wooden one, a stone temple was built also in the name of the Miraculous Image of the Savior . Construction began in 1822 . At first it was arranged in 1828 . the refectory church with chapels in the name of the Mother of God of " All Who Sorrow of Joy " on the right side and in the name of St. Nil Stolbensky on the left. September 29, 1851 the temple is consecrated. In 1850 - built a stone bell tower. Since 1891 , the church has a literacy school.

The village of Akintyevo is the birthplace of Mikhail Filippovich Gulyakin , Hero of Socialist Labor, military surgeon, medical colonel, Honored Doctor of the RSFSR ( 1978 ).
