Content
Etymology
The name comes from the Chirakhly family, from the Kyzylbash tribe, which were later relocated to Shirvan [1] .
History
The first mentions of the village are dated by the beginning of the XIX century.
In 1926, according to the administrative-territorial division of the Azerbaijan SSR, the village belonged to the dyra of Hindristan of the Agdam county [2] .
After the reform of the administrative division and the abolition of the counties in 1929, the Karvend village council was formed in the Agdam region of the Azerbaijan SSR .
According to the administrative division of 1961 and 1977, the Chirakhly village was part of the Karvenda village council of the Agdam region of the Azerbaijan SSR [3] [4] .
In 1993, during the Karabakh war, part of the village was destroyed, after which the residents left the village.
In 1999, an administrative reform was carried out in Azerbaijan and the Ahmedagalinsky municipality of the Agdam region was established, which included the village [5] .
Geography
Not far from the village flows the river Khachinchay .
The village is located 20 km from the Agdash district center, 16 km from the temporary Kuzanly district center and 330 km from Baku .
The height of the village above sea level - 252 m.

The village is abandoned, it has no permanent population. Occasionally shepherds appear, temporarily living in the village [8] .

The village has a cold semiarid climate .
