Biography

Born in 1895 in Melitopol in the family of a cabman. His father, Rakhmil Petrushansky, died in Melitopol in July 1921. He started to work at the age of 13. In 1910-1914 he was a clerk in coal warehouses in Melitopol and Fedorovka, he worked for about a year at the Zaferman plant. In 1915, after the beginning of the First World War , he was drafted into the army, participated in battles on the Austrian front as part of the 75th Sevastopol regiment (1915-1917). He was wounded, awarded the St. George medal "For Courage". After the second wound until May 1918 he served in a military road detachment.

Member of the CP (b) U since 1919 . In 1924 he was chairman of the builders union.

Since May 1926 , he is a member of the presidium of the Kiev Okrug Executive Committee, the chairman of the labor department [1] . In 1927 - 1928 he was in charge of the commodity exchange.

After graduating from the Kiev Construction Institute in 1932 , he worked as a mine manager in the construction of the Moscow Metro . From August to December 1933 - Deputy Chairman of the Kharkiv City Council and Head of the Kharkov Commune.

Since March 1934 , after the transfer of the capital of the Ukrainian SSR to Kiev - Chairman of the Kiev City Council . He was a delegate to the XII Congress of the CP (B) U. In February 1937 he headed the Ukrstroygorprom.

He was arrested in July 1937 for participation in the " counter-revolutionary Trotskyist organization ", and was shot dead on September 2, 1937 .

Rehabilitated in 1956 for lack of corpus delicti.
