Biography

A. Muminov was born in 1937 in the city of Samarkand, Uzbek SSR, in the family of I. Muminov .

He studied at secondary school No. 37 of Samarkand.

In 1960 he graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute.

Doctor of Medical Sciences, 1972 (Moscow, Central Institute for Advanced Medical Studies).

Professor, 1973 Head of the Department of ENT diseases 2 Tashkent State Medical Institute. Head of the Republican Center for Pathology of Hearing and Speech. Chief specialist of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

He worked as the dean of the 1st medical faculty of the Tashkent State Medical Institute (until 1982). Vice-rector for medical work of the Tashkent State Medical Institute (1983-1989).

In 1990, he was the founder and first rector of the Bukhara State Medical Institute (1990-1995).

In 1995, he was appointed rector of the Samarkand State Medical Institute (1995-2000).

Under his leadership, more than 35 master's and 5 doctoral dissertations in medicine were defended.

Death

Tragically died in a car accident on November 1, 2001 on the road from Jizzakh to Samarkand. He was buried in Tashkent .
