Biography
Born February 17, 1946 in Sverdlovsk in the family of football player Viktor Stafyorov.
The pupil of the youth sports school "Uralmash". Since 1964 he played for the first team. Two years later, he moved to the Moscow Torpedo , in which he made his debut in the Premier League, having played 16 matches in two seasons and scored 3 goals in the championship. In 1969 he returned to Sverdlovsk, but the season was unsuccessful for the team - Uralmash flew to the first division, taking the penultimate place in the final table.
From 1971 to 1973 he played for Metallurg Lipetsk [2] . Spent the season in Moscow Lokomotiv , at that time the first league team.
He completed his player’s career in Kaluga, where he was a playing coach.
He worked as a youth coach. Among Stafyorov’s pupils are Russian national team player Alexander Kokorin [3] , Russian youth and Olympic team player Igor Lebedenko [4] , Pyotr Nemov [5] , Alan Gatagov [6] and midfielder of the SKA-Khabarovsk club Nikolai Kalinsky [7] .
