Stichkin Branover, David

David Stitchkin Branover ( Spanish: David Stitchkin Branover ; October 25, 1912 , Santiago - July 12, 1997 ) - Chilean lawyer and teacher, rector of Concepcion University .

He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Chile , in 1937 received the title of lawyer. Since 1940, professor of civil law. He published the monograph Civil Assignment ( Spanish: El mandato civil ; 1950, four reprints), considered to be the fundamental source for this legal concept in Chilean law.

In 1956, Mr .. elected rector of the University of Concepcion , replacing the founder of the university, Enrique Molina Garmendia . He held his post until 1962. He carried out a serious reform of the university, having organized specialized scientific institutes in its composition to encourage student research activity [1] . He opened the third university campus in the city of Los Angeles . From March to December 1968 he again acted as rector.

Honorary Doctor (1960) and Concepcion University (1980).

Wife - Fanny Litvak; four children.
