Stoner Witch ( Rus. The Smoked Witch ) is the seventh studio album of the American sludge metal band Melvins , released on October 18, 1994 via Atlantic Records . In 2016, the album was re-released on the label Third Man Records ^[8] .

The album is included in the Decibel magazine Hall of Fame ^[9] . Spin Stoner Witch ranked 9th in the list of the 20 best grunge albums of all times ^[10] .

The Rolling Stone observer notes that the group allegedly did not decide on the direction of its development, after the publication of Houdini , the best metal album of the decade. At the same time, it is said that the sound of the group has become much more skillful than just “monochrome, slow, grinding power”. ^[6]
