Apostolic Nuncio in Iran

An apostolic delegate in Persia has existed in the country since the 19th century , it was established by Pope Pius IX , who disconnected it from the Apostolic delegate in Mesopotamia .

The apostolic internation in Iran was established on May 2, 1953, the log “ Quantum utilitatis ” ^{[1] of} Pope Pius XII , who established diplomatic relations with Iran.

The apostolic nunciature in Iran was established on March 25, 1965, the log " Amicae necessitudinis " ^{[2] of} Pope Paul VI .
