Biography
Helen Hinkenzeller was born on November 17, 1911 in Munich ( Kingdom of Bavaria , German Empire ). In her youth, she planned to become an opera singer. To become an actress, she took acting lessons from Otto Falkenberg , and her theatrical acting debut took place on the stage of Munich Kammerspiele .
The blonde Bavarian actress became the leading artist of the theater, and later of cinema. In 1935, it was opened to cinema by director Karl Ritter and became popular for filming commercial films for the UVA. Mostly starred in comedies and melodramas. In the 1960s, she began to play characteristic roles, appeared on the stage of Kleine Komödie in Munich and in the Renaissance theater in Berlin. Later she began to act in films less often and mainly played in the theater.
Eli's first husband was actor Will House (1897-1948). The couple had two children - Gabriela "Gabi" House (born 23.09.1943), who became an actress, and the son of Michel Dom. 51-year-old Will House died on November 28, 1948 . In 1950, Finkenzeller married a second time to producer Alfred Bittins (1909-1970), but 20 years later she again became a widow - 61-year-old Bittens died on November 24, 1970 . Another 20 years later, on January 14, 1991 , Finkenzeller died of cancer at the age of 79.
