Akmola province

The Akmola province is an administrative-territorial unit of the Kyrgyz (from 1925 - Kazak) ASSR that existed in 1921 - 1928 . Provincial center - the city of Petropavlovsk .

History

The Decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of January 17, 1921 formed the Akmola province from part of the Omsk province (Akmola - 75 volosts, Atbasarsky - 51 volosts, Kokchetavsky - 63 volosts, Petropavlovsk counties - 44 volosts) [1] .

On May 11, 1920, the Baganalinsky and Central Argynsky districts were formed in the territory of Atbasar Uyezd. On April 27, 1921, the Vsesvyatsky District of the Peter and Paul County was transferred to Kustanai Province on the basis of a resolution of the Central Executive Committee of the Kazakh Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic dated April 1, 1921 [1] .

The decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of June 10, 1921 established the border between the autonomous Kyrgyz SSR and Siberia along the Omsk district of the Omsk province (the Issyk-Kul station was left on the territory of the Kyrgyz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). The border line went east of the Issyk-Kul station along the border with the Peter and Paul County, further north of the lakes Kichi-Karoy, Ulkun-Karoy, the Kara-Terek tract, adhering to the southern borders of Russian volosts and going to the village of Cherlakovskaya on the Irtysh (left in the Kyrgyz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic), Moreover, the Russian volosts Orekhovskaya, Dobrovolskaya, Moiseevskaya, Russo-Polyanskaya, Novo-Sanzharovskaya, Chernousovskaya, Stepanovskaya, Kotelnikovskaya are included in the territory of the Kyrgyz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

On September 8, 1921, five volosts were transferred from the Tyumen province of the RSFSR to the Akmola province, forming the Sokolovsky district , which had already been abolished on October 28 and transferred to the Peter and Paul County [1] .

On October 1, 1921, 15 volosts were transferred from the Omsk province , forming the Orekhovsky District , which was transformed into Cherlaksky County on May 10, 1922 [1] .

By a decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee on January 12, 1922, the Isil-Kul station (along the border between Siberia and the Kyrgyz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic along the Omsk uezd of the Omsk province) was left within Siberia [1] and.

On July 26, 1922, the Baganalinsky district and the Sredne-Argynsky district were abolished, and their territory was returned to Atbasar district. In the same period there was the Tama district [1] .

On May 28, 1925, Cherlak Uyezd was abolished, and its territory was annexed to the Peter and Paul Uyezd [1] .

On January 17, 1928 the province was abolished. Its territory is distributed between Akmola , Kzyl-Dzharsky , Pavlodar and Syr-Darya districts.

Population

According to the 1926 census, 1,211.4 thousand people lived in the province. Including Kazakhs - 35.6%; Russians - 32.5%; Ukrainians - 25.8%; Germans - 1.7%; Tatars - 1.5%; Mordvinians - 1.4%
