Biography
Born in the village of Zykovy, Kotelnichsky District, Kirov Region , then his family moved to the village of Darovskaya , where he began to engage in skiing [2] . At 16, he moved to Moscow , to the sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 81 "Grandma" [2] .
Sports career
In the 2012/2013 season, Alexey first took part in the Junior World Cup in Czech Liberec . There he won bronze in a skiathlon and gold in a relay race.
Two-time winner of the European Youth Winter Olympic Festival (2013), [3] .
In the 2013/2014 season, Alex again took part in the junior world championships in Val di Fiemme , where he won a silver medal in a skiathlon and a bronze in the relay.
In the 2014/2015 season, at the World Junior Championships in Alma-Ata, Alexei triumphantly won three gold medals at once (in a skiathlon, 10 km free-style and relay race). In the same season, Chervotkin made his debut at the Lahti World Cup.
In the 2015/2016 season, Alexey took part in the U-23 World Cup in Romania , where he took 2nd place at a distance of 15 km with a classic style. At the end of the season, Alexei became the champion of Russia in the 50 km free style marathon.
In the 2016/2017 season, Chervotkin again took part in the U23 World Championship in the United States , where he won two silver medals in a skiathlon and a 15 km free-style cut. At the World Championships in Finnish Lahti, Alexei was entrusted with a place in the relay, where he, along with team partners, became the silver medalist.
