Geography

The village is located in the central part of the Lazarevsky district of the resort city of Sochi , on both banks of the Shakh River. It is located 6 km west of the district center Khartsiz Pervy , 82 km south-east of the regional center Lazarevskoye and 63 km north-west of Central Sochi ( on the road ).

It borders with the lands of the settlement - Khartsiz II in the south. The village is divided into two microdistricts located on opposite sides of the Shahe river.

The village is located in the mountainous zone of the Black Sea coast. The terrain is mostly hilly with pronounced fluctuations in relative heights. The average altitude in the village is about 329 meters above sea level. Absolute heights in the outskirts of the village reach 1000 meters above sea level.

The hydrographic network is mainly represented by the river Shahe . Below the village, its largest right tributary, Kichmay, flows into it.

The climate in the village is humid subtropical . The average annual air temperature is about + 13.5 ° C, with average July temperatures of about + 23.0 ° C, and average January temperatures of about + 6.0 ° C. The average annual rainfall is about 1350 mm. Most precipitation falls in the winter.

History

The exact date of the foundation of the village is not known. According to the audit on January 1, 1917, the village of Otradnaya was listed as part of the Sochi district of the Black Sea province [2] .

From June 30, 1920 to May 18, 1922 the village of Otradnoe was listed as part of the Tuapse department of the Kuban-Black Sea region .

According to the audit of January 26, 1923, it was listed as part of the Lazarevsky volost of the Kuban-Black Sea region.

From December 26, 1962 to January 16, 1965, the village of Otradnoe, in connection with the abolition of the Lazarevsky district, was listed as part of the Tuapse district .

In 1965, the village of Otradnoye was transferred to the Solokh-Aul rural district of the Lazarevsky district of the resort city of Sochi .

The village has a poorly developed social infrastructure. The nearest educational and health facilities are located in the village of Khartsiz Pervy .

There are only three streets in the village:

  • Novopokrovskaya - stretches along the right bank of the river Shahe.
  • Assumption - stretches along the left bank of the river Shah.
  • Dinskaya - rises into the mountains, towards the village of Khartsiz II .
