Tongipara ( Beng. টুঙ্গিপাড়া , Eng. Tungipara ) is a city in Bangladesh , the administrative center of the sub-district of the same name . The area of the city is 30.39 km². According to the 2001 census, 30,747 people lived in the city, of which 51.09% were men and 48.91% were women, respectively. The population density was 1012 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 36.1% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
