Jeff James Nugent ( Eng. Geoff James Nugent , born February 14, 1977 ) [2] - Australian stand-up comedian , actor and screenwriter , known by the pseudonym Jim Jeffries ( Eng. Jim Jefferies, Jim Jeffries ).

Biography
Born in the Australian city of Perth , Western Australia [2] , he originally took the stage name Jim Jeffries, but made changes to the name Jefferies to avoid confusion with a similar American comedian. [3]
Jeffreys received his first international attention after being attacked on stage during a performance at the Manchester Comedy Store . [4] Jim included this incident on his Contraband 2008 DVD. Jeffries became widely known in the United States after his debut in a hurry on HBO . [five]
Jeffries has performed at numerous festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe , the Just for Laughs Festival , the South African Comedy Festival in Cape Town , the Reading and Leeds Festivals, and the Glastonbury Festival . Jim has appeared on British comedy shows such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks , Have I Got News for You , The Heaven and Earth Show and 8 Out of 10 Cats , and on the American show The Green Room with Paul Provenza . Jeffreys also spoke at The World Stands Up , Comedy Blue and Edinburgh and Beyond for Comedy Central . He also participated in various radio programs, including the BBC Radio 5 Live , Opie and Anthony and Fighting Talk on Saturday morning sports shows. [6]
Jeffries hosted the podcast Jim and Eddie Talkin 'Shit twice a week with his friend comedian Eddie Ifft. The podcast was recorded at home at Ifft in Los Angeles . In December 2012, Jim left the podcast due to being busy on the set of his almost biographical series “ Normal ” (Legit). [7]
The Jeffreys comedy series “Normal” was launched on January 17, 2013 on the FX channel. The second season began on February 26, 2014 and was ported to FXX. [8] The series received positive feedback from the disability community for portraying people with mental and physical disabilities. [9] The series was closed after two seasons, [10] even despite a petition by Jim to extend it for another season.
In February 2014, Jeffries starred in the low-cost Australian film "Me and My Friends Against the Zombie Apocalypse" ( Me and My Mates vs. The Zombie Apocalypse ) along with Australian comedians Greg Flitoi and Alex Williamson, the film premiered at home on July 25 2015 [11] The film was released on DVD and on Vimeo in Australia and New Zealand at the end of 2015, [12] in the UK — May 2, 2016, in the USA — July 5, 2016.
Personal Life
As of January 2013, Jeffries was in a relationship with actress Kate Leiben. But soon the couple broke up. The couple has a son, Hank, born in November 2012. [13] Jeffries calls himself an atheist . [14] In 2018, Jim became a US citizen. [15]
