The grain thrower is an agricultural machine designed for transporting and loading grain into vehicles , forming and shoveling grain shoulders in elevators, grain currents and storage facilities. These machines became widespread in the early sixties of the 20th century, which is associated with an increase in the level of mechanization in agriculture [1] . The main characteristics of grain throwers: the range and height of the throwing of grain, power consumption. [2] The performance of grain throwers depends on the moisture content of the grain. The main indicator of the performance of the grain thrower is the mass of the transferred grain per hour at its humidity up to 20 percent.

Grain thrower classification
Auger screw thrower
This type of grain throwers is a pipe in which a screw is installed, with which the grain poured into the receiving hopper is transferred to the loading device (trimmer) or directly to the shoulder, warehouse or vehicle. The disadvantages of this type of machines include the crushing of grain during the operation of the screw, manual approaching of the shoulder and limitation of the distance of movement of the grain by the length of the screw. However, screw grain throwers are characterized by low energy consumption and ease of maintenance.
Vacuum grain thrower
Vacuum grain thrower is used when filling storage silos and trains with grain. During the work of this car grain is sucked in by the powerful turbine and moves to the right place. The vacuum grain thrower is characterized by high productivity, the ability to feed grain to a greater height and preserve its integrity. However, this machine has a great power consumption.
Scraper grain thrower
The scraper grain thrower consists of a scraper feeder, a scraper conveyor and a trimmer. The grain is fed from the pile by the feeder scrapers to the conveyor scrapers, which feed the grain to the belt, which is pulled on the drums, which rotate at high speed. After that, the grain is thrown into the guide casing. These machines are equipped with a casing boom turning mechanism. The disadvantages of scraper grain throwers include crushing of grain and noise of work.
