Activities
Mikhail Avdyukov is not a public official: a minimum of interviews and television shootings. The biography is standard, there were no unforeseen career failures.
- NTV , 2003
Despite the fact that NTV journalists defined Avdyukov’s biography as unremarkable [4] , and the mayor of the capital, Yuri Luzhkov and Attorney General Vladimir Ustinov, appreciated his pliability [5] , the capital’s activities of Mikhail Avdyukov were unexpectedly marked by a protracted [6] conflict between the Prosecutor General’s Office and Moscow [7] . Employees of the Moscow prosecutor’s office claimed that Avdyukov himself and his department “refused to “ open and terminate criminal cases ” by calling from the top , which led to a confrontation with the team of Prosecutor General Ustinov and was the reason for the“ voluntary ”resignation of Avdyukov and the dismissal of his deputy, Yuri Sinelschikov , who generally dared to write to Putin about "the culmination of the conflict between the city and the General Prosecutor's Office" [8] . Probably, the “uncontrollability” of Avdyukov led to his resignation from the post of prosecutor of Moscow [9] , besides that, in the opinion of Nezavisimaya Gazeta , objective reasons for the departure of the prosecutor of Moscow cannot be excluded - scandalous cases like “ werewolves in uniform ” indicate that prosecutorial oversight of the activities of law enforcement agencies was put, to put it mildly, not at the required level [10] . Obviously, the quietest Mikhail Alekseevich got involved in the confrontation of prosecutors under the influence of his deputy, authoritative prosecutor Yuri Sinelshchikov , while Avdyukov himself managed to nominally remain in Ustinov’s advisers.
