History
In 1895, the company Akhverdov & Co. established an oil refinery. The equipment of the plant was composed of two distillation cubes , with the help of which they produced lubricating oils and bitumen [1] .
In Soviet times, the refinery was equipped with high-performance units for deep oil refining. The production of new types of products was also mastered [1] .
During World War II, the plant provided the Red Army with the necessary petroleum products . For the successful completion of this task, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 6, 1942, the plant was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor [1] .
In 1953, the plant commissioned one of the first plants in the country for deasphalting oil products from propane [2] .
In 1967, the plant was named after V.I. Lenin . The plantβs products were widely used throughout the country and exported to dozens of countries. In the 1980s, the product range of the plant was approximately 80 items [1] .
Destroyed by Russian aircraft in 1999 [3] .
