Biography

He began his coaching career in teams of the lower Brazilian leagues. In 1983-1985 Kurtz worked at the headquarters of the Brazilian youth team . In it, he served as a fitness trainer. In 1985, a specialist helped Brazilians become world champions among youth teams. In the course of 1988, Kurtz headed one of the most popular clubs in Brazil, Fluminense .

In 1994-1996, the mentor worked with the Ghana national team . Under his leadership, Black Stars took fourth place in the African Cup of Nations in South Africa .

On October 12, 2003, the Angolans in the first match of the opening round of the qualifying tournament for the 2006 World Cup unexpectedly lost the Chad team with a score of 1: 3.
