Biography
Namzhil Nimbuev was born on June 11, 1948 in Ulan-Ude in the family of the famous Buryat poet Shirab Nimbuevich Nimbuev.
He studied at school number 3, which he graduated in 1966.
He began to compose poems from childhood. He wrote in Russian, but there are several poems written in Buryat.
After the 7th grade, for a good study and participation in various literary competitions, he was awarded a voucher to the All-Union Young Pioneer Camp Artek. For the verses “Hands off Africa”, he was awarded the “Great Gold Medal of Artek” for winning the contest of author verses.
After graduating from school, in order to get the necessary work experience for admission to the institute, he worked for a year as a correspondent in the newspaper “Youth of Buryatia” Then he entered the Literary Institute. Gorky, but managed to study there only three courses.
He passed away on October 5, 1971.
Creativity
Namzhil wrote most of his poems while studying at the institute. These are several lyrics, stories, one-act play “The Cherry Blossom”, a story for teenagers “Boys with Bows” in collaboration with Kalmyk O. Mandzhiev, “Beat the Bed”, in Buryat, the play “The Migratory Birds Return”, the play “The Anonymous Son” in collaboration with father Sh. Nimbuev.
Namzhil Nimbuev wrote in Russian, he was fluent in Mongolian and Buryat languages, he studied as a translator. He did translations of Dondok Ulzytuyev 's poems into Russian. He translated poems of 17 Mongolian lyric poets into Russian.
He also translated the stories of the Buryat writers Sergey Tsyrendorzhiev “Anxious night”, Yabzhana Baldanjabon “God of rain”, Tsyren-Dondok Khamaev “White month-new moon”, Baldan Yabzhanov “Maytagsaan”, D. Garma “Scouts”, detective story Dojo Cho. "Together with Viktor Nimbuev, which was published in the journal Siberian Lights."

A posthumous collection of poems entitled “Streaked Lightnings” was published in 1972, prepared by him in the Buryat book publishing house. The same collection in 1974 and in 1979 was published by Sovremennik publishing house in Moscow. By the 50th anniversary of the poet in 1998 a collection was published, which was supplemented by translations of his poems into Buryat and memories of his contemporaries [1] .
