In anticipation of the 2012/13 season, Panasonic became the owner of the club, then the team got its current name. Rugby players, who had previously performed in red and black colors, began to put on a blue uniform. In 2014, Norifumi Nakajima head coach, having won with the Knights double (wins in the Top League and the All-Japan Rugby Championship), resigned. His successor was the former coach of the Australian national team and the New Zealand club “ Crusaders ” Robbie Deans.
