Slotsholmen ( Dat. Slotsholmen ) is the historical heart of Copenhagen , a small island with an area of 21 hectares, where government has traditionally been located.

History
In 1167, the first castle was built on the island by Bishop Absalon , which gave rise to the capital of Denmark. Subsequently, the Copenhagen Castle was built in the same place.
