FC Manchester United in the 1937/1938 season

The 1937/38 season was for Manchester United the 42nd season in the Football League and the first season after being eliminated in the Second Division [1] .

On November 7, 1937, Scott Duncan was fired from his post as head coach of the club. Two days later, Walter Crickmer was appointed to this position, the second time became the head coach of Manchester United.

United finished the season on the second line of the standings, which guaranteed a return to the First Division . After that, United played in the top division of English football for the next 36 years.
