Football career
He played for Newton Heat Lokos. In September 1932 he moved to Manchester United , playing in the Second Division . He made his debut with United on September 30, 1933 in a match against Oldham Athletic [1] . In the 1935/36 season, he helped the club win the Second Division and enter the First Division . Total played for the club 73 matches. In June 1936 he moved to the London club Tottenham Hotspur .
Later he played for Tottenham Hotspur, Steylibridge Celtic and Runcorn , as well as a number of other wartime clubs.
