Cavalier of the Order of the Legion of Honor ( 2002 ). Maoist in his youth, later A. Adler joined the Communist Party of France . In 1970, following his wife, Blandin Kriegel (daughter of the communist - member of the French Resistance movement Maurice Kriegel-Valrimont ) became ideologically close to the American neoconservatives. Adler is also an adviser to Roger Kuquiermann , chairman of the Council of Representatives of Jewish Organizations in France (CRIF, French Conseil Représentatif des Institutions juives de France ).

Biography

Born in 1950 in Paris in a German-Jewish family. Adler is a graduate of École normale supérieure (1969-1974). After collaborating with the French daily newspaper Libération (1982-1992), Adler went further and became the editorial director of Courrier International (1992-2002). Adler worked on an editorial for the French daily Le Monde and collaborated with several French weekly magazines, including Le Point and L'Express . He currently works in the editorial board of the conservative French newspaper Le Figaro [2] .

Bibliography

Adler is the author of J'ai vu finir le monde ancien (I observed the end of the Ancient World, 2001), a geopolitical analysis of the consequences of the September 11 attacks in 2001, L'Odyssée américaine (American Odyssey , 2004) and Rendez-Vous AVEC l'Islam ( Meeting with Islam , 2005), analysis of the return of Islam as a historical actor on the world stage.
