Yasuda ( 安 田 財閥 Yasuda zaibatsu ) is a zaibatsu that existed in Japan before the end of World War II. The financial conglomerate was one of the four largest zaibatsu in Imperial Japan and controlled by the Yasuda clan . After surrender in 1945, it was disbanded by the occupation administration.

moved to Edo when he was 17 and began working in an exchange office [1] . He got rich on the exchange of paper money for gold , when the government began to implement such [2] . In 1876-1880, Yasuda opened two banks, and then went into the insurance business [3] [4] . Today, there is still an heiress to these efforts - Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance .
In the 20th century
In 1913, the Yasud bank absorbed several smaller ones. The resulting bank has become the largest of all zaibatsu owned [2] . In 1921, the founder of the zaibatsu was killed after he refused to donate to the nationalists. Things went to his son Zennosuke Yasude. By 1928, Yasuda was the third conglomerate in the country in terms of total capital, second only to the Mitsui and Mitsubishi groups. In 1942, during the war, the head of the zaibatsu Hajime Yasuda (1907-1991) announced its consolidation, which was in line with the aspirations of the Japanese government.
