Biography
Caroline Thompson was born April 23, 1956 in Washington ( USA ) in the family of lawyer Thomas Carlton Thompson and teacher Betty Marshall (nee Warner) [1] . She later moved to Cambridge (Massachusetts) , where she attended Radcliffe College and Harvard University , and in 1978 she graduated from Amherst College with a degree in English and English literature [2] .
Thompson moved to Los Angeles , earning the work of a freelance book reviewer and writer. In 1983, she published the novel Firstborn, according to which director Penelope Sfiris decided to make a film, and Thompson herself wrote the script. Although the film was not completed, Thompson gained fame [3] [4] .
She worked on the films “ The Mysterious Garden ”, “ Black Beauty ”, “ The Road Home: An Incredible Journey ”, “ Addams Family ” and “ Snow White ”.
In 1982-1985, Caroline was married to the novelist Henry Bromell (1947-2013). Thompson is currently married for the second time to producer Steve Nicholas.
