Biography
He graduated from VGIK (workshop B. I. Volchek ). He worked as a cameraman at the Kuibyshev television studio, from 1971 - at the Kazakhfilm studio. Since 1974 - a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR . Since 2005 - Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan .
Filmed the movies “Unusual Day” (1971), “Horizons” (1973), “Hey, you cowboys!” (1974), “Once for a lifetime” (1977), “The Year of the Dragon ” (1981) (“Champion”, 1979; “Melon”, 1982; 4-ser. “Chokan Valikhanov”, 1983-1985, and others). Writer and director of the documentary films “Kumshagal history” (1986), “Austrian meetings”, “Tengiz” (both 1987), director of the feature film “Uranic Typhoon” (2011).
