Ecdition came from the Asia Minor city of Ankira . Around 360, he served as consul of the province of Galatia and was the forerunner of Acacia . In 363, Ecdition visited the Syrian capital Antioch . He corresponded with the famous rhetoric of the time, Libany , from whom his sons studied. At least three letters received by Ecdius from him are known. Ecdius was a pagan.
