The stone church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Sheptukhovka was built in 1912 next to the wooden church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, built in 1790 (not preserved).
The temple was built by the whole world. Significant financial assistance in its construction was provided by local landowners: Yanov, Sheptukhov and Obukhov. The church has survived to the present day. The rector of the church is Priest Anthony Kolistratov. Open classes [3] and excursions [4] for students are held here.
