Geographical position
The village of Shchelkonogov of the municipality " Tugulymsky urban district " is located 20 kilometers east of the village Tugulym (on the highway 25 kilometers away), in the valley of the Aiba River (left tributary of the Pyshma River). In the vicinity of the village is the national park " Pripyshminsky Bory " (Tugulymskaya Dacha) [2] .
History
The village was founded by the peasant Vasily Shchelkonogov. The first mention of the village dates back to 1719. The main occupation of the villagers was the processing and preparation of fodder [2] .

In 1763, the population of the village was 140 people, in 1900 - 615 people [2] .
