Biography
The youngest son of Ferdinan de Laboma , Count de Montreuil, and Marie Ollier de Nuantel.
Originally called Chevalier de Montrevel. He was brought up at court with the children of Henri de Lorren , Count d'Arcourt. After the death of his elder brother, Charles-Francois de Laboma, Marquis de Saint-Martin, on May 13, 1666 he received his company in the cavalry regiment of the Queen. Soon, due to a duel in Lyon , he was forced to leave the kingdom, and on June 20 was removed from office.
He returned to France in 1667. He served during the siege of Tournais , taken on June 24, La Capelle , the 25th, Douai , surrendered on July 6, the citadel of Curtre on the 18th and Audenard , surrendered on the 31st. On August 15, he was appointed captain of the regiment of Colonel General of the Cavalry, distinguished himself in the siege of Liège , taken by the king on August 27, and the defeat of Prince de Lin and Count de Marches on the 31st.
In 1668, at the head of his regiment, he attacked an enemy convoy advancing along the Espierre bridge, and was dangerously wounded by a shot from a musket in his thigh.
In 1672, he served under the command of Marshal Türenn during the siege and capture of Burik (June 3), Rees (June 8) and crossing the Rhine (June 12), during which he received several injuries, including a saber hit in the face. It was during the capture of Nimwegen on July 9, Grave of the 14th, the island and the city of Bommel on September 26.
March 1, 1673, after the resignation of the Chevalier de Larochefoucauld, was appointed campaigner lieutenant of the Orleans Cavalry Regiment. He served in Holland under the command of Marshal of Luxembourg during the siege of Maastricht , taken by the king on June 29.

After the resignation of his father by the order given on February 22, 1675 in Saint-Germain-en-Lay , he was appointed general governor of Bresses , Bugey , Valrôme and Charolais . July 22, 1677, after the death of Lacardonnier, was appointed commissar general of the cavalry, dismissed from command of the Royal Regiment. Contributed to the release of Charleroi (August 14), besieged by the Prince of Orange, and the capture of Saint-Guillen on December 11.
In 1678 he served in the sieges of the city of Ghent , which surrendered on March 9, the citadel that capitulated on the 12th, and Ypres taken on the 25th. Then he became commander of the cavalry in the German army, Marshal Kreki , fought at Reinfeld on July 6 and the persecution of the Duke of Lorraine on the 23rd.
In July 1679 he was dismissed from governorship in Bress.

In 1716, dismissed from command in Guyenne, and on April 26 he was appointed commander in Alsace and Franche-Comté .
