The national team was represented by 23 athletes. As a result of the tournament, the men's ice hockey team took 11th place (while taking first place in Group B of the third strongest division of the tournament; in the 11th place match, the Turkmen team defeated the Kyrgyz national team with a score of 7: 3 [1] in the presence of 243 viewers).
For the first time, a Turkmen athlete participated in the Asian Winter Games in 2007, however, due to the lack of accreditation, he appeared outside the standings [2] [3] .
