Andrei Fedorovich Krupnov (born January 31, 1934 , Kirghiz-Miyaki , USSR ) is a Soviet and Russian physicist and specialist in the field of microwave spectroscopy . Laureate of the USSR State Prize in 1980.

Biography
He graduated from Gorky State University with a degree in physics and research in 1957. After graduation, he got a job at the Research Radiophysical Institute (NIRFI).
In 1965, under the leadership of V. S. Troitsky, he defended his thesis on "The molecular generator of the millimeter range on formaldehyde." In 1975 he defended his doctoral dissertation "Microwave molecular spectroscopy in the millimeter and submillimeter ranges."
In 1977, he transferred to work in the newly created Institute of Applied Physics, USSR Academy of Sciences . Here, until 2005, he heads the department of microwave spectroscopy. Since 2005 - the main research associate of the institute.
Teaching
He lectured at “Microwave Spectroscopy” at the Nizhny Novgorod State University .
In 1992, A. F. Krupnov was awarded the academic title of professor in the department of "radiophysics."
