Club career
Torres began his career at the Belen Club. On April 23, 2015, in his match against Perez-Celedon , he made his debut in the Costa Rica championship , replacing Keven Aleman in the second half [2] . On January 18, 2016, in a duel against Deportivo Sapriss , Gerson scored his first goal for Belen [3] .
In the summer of that year, Torres moved to the Herediano . On July 17, in his match against Perez-Celedon, he made his debut for a new team [4] . In a duel against Carmelita , Gerson scored his first goal for Herediano.
In early 2017, Torres on a rental basis moved to the Mexican “ America ”. On March 2, 2017, in a Mexico Cup duel against Santos Laguna , Gerson made his debut for a new team [5] . On November 24, in a match against Cruz Asul , he made his debut in the Mexican Example [6] . In early 2018, Torres joined Necaxa on loan.
International Career
At the beginning of 2017, Torres got into the application of the national team to participate in the Central American Cup in Panama . On January 15, in a tournament match against Belize, he made his debut for the Costa Rica national team [7] . Gerson also played in a duel against Nicaragua [8] .
In 2017, as part of the Costa Rica youth team, Torres took part in the Youth World Championships in South Korea . At the tournament, he played in matches against teams of Iran [9] , Portugal [10] , Zambia [11] and England [12] .
