The film tells about the trial of Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov , sentenced to 20 years in prison in the far north of Russia on charges of terrorist activity.

The world premiere of the film “Process: The Russian State against Oleg Sentsov” under the international title “The Trial: The State of Russia vs Oleg Sentsov” took place on February 11, 2017 at the Berlin International Film Festival , where it was presented in the section “Berlinale Special”.
The Ukrainian premiere took place at the end of March 2017 at the international festival of documentaries on human rights Docudays UA [1] .
