“Interpretation of Dreams” is a Russian hand-drawn cartoon created at the Pilot studio in 2004 . The directors Alexander Tatarsky and Valentin Telegin created it based on the Tatar folk tale. [1] . By the way, a similar plot is in Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Chuvash folklore.

Content
Story
In ancient times, there lived one khan, and he was a kind and fair ruler. But once he dreamed that he had become a donkey. The vizier reassured him, but turned out to be an unjust and dishonest man and stole from the khan. That night the vizier was waiting for the messenger. He brought a magic potion that turns a man into an ass. The vizier tested the potion on a messenger, when he drank water from the fountain, he poured into the fountain and the messenger became a donkey. At this time, a foreign guest arrived in the city, riding on an elephant - a sage from India , a famous interpreter of dreams. The next night, the khan again had the same terrible dream, and he decided to change into a simple man and go to the Indian sage. The latter replied that he would be a khan donkey if he did not steal anything.
The saddened khan met the blacksmith, and they decided to steal from the dishonest rich man the chicken that the blacksmith sold him, but did not receive money for it. And they heard under the window that the vizier wants to add his terrible potion to the khan and turn it into a donkey to take the place of the khan. And the next day there was a big feast in the palace, and the sage from India was there too. The blacksmith came to the khan to warn him, and the treacherous vizier had already added his poison to the khan's bowl. But the sage distracted everyone with an illusion, and the elephant, by his order, swapped the bowls in places.
The vizier drank the contents of the bowl and turned into a donkey, but the same thing happened with the rich man. And the khan ruled in his country for a long time and fairly, and made a simple blacksmith his chief vizier and gave him a new chicken.
