The early years
He was brought up in a family of workers.
He graduated from high school in the city of Noyabrsk. In 1993 he entered the Ural Institute of Economics, Management and Law ( Yekaterinburg ), where he graduated with a degree in economics, qualification in enterprise management, and majoring in business law. In 1997, he began teaching there. He taught economic disciplines - “Fundamentals of marketing” and “Insurance business” [1] .
Career
In 1998, he began working at the Pervouralskaya poultry farm as a deputy marketing director. Since 2004, for success in work, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Sverdlovsk Region was appointed deputy director for production of the Pervouralskaya poultry farm. In 2005, he began to work as the general director of LLC “Refrigerator Plant No. 3” of the city of Yekaterinburg. After leaving his post, he was involved in the development of a program on Food and Environmental Safety of Pervouralsk [1] .
In 2011, he was elected mayor of Pervouralsk. In 2013, he was dismissed [1] .
Soon after leaving the post of head of Pervouralsk, in November 2013, Pereverzev joined and immediately headed the Sverdlovsk branch of the Yabloko party, which remained without a leader in March 2013 (the previous Yabloko leader Maxim Petlin was sentenced to three years in prison for extortion) [ 2] .
In May 2017, the head of Yekaterinburg, Yevgeny Roizman, announced the participation in the election of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region from the Yabloko party [3] . Pereverzev opposed this and announced at the party regional conference on June 17, 2017 that he was leaving the party together with nine other delegates in protest against the imposed candidacy of the head of Yekaterinburg [4] . Pereverzev said that the federal leadership of Yabloko ignored the proposal to conduct the selection of a candidate from the party on an alternative basis [4] . Pereverzev also noted that Roizman did not present his election program and did not establish “interaction” with the regional branch of Yabloko [4] . The leader of Yabloko Grigory Yavlinsky said that in connection with the release of Pereverzev it is impossible to hold a regional conference and therefore the question of nominating a candidate for governor of the Sverdlovsk region will be considered in Moscow at the party’s federal bureau [5] . On June 21, 2017 , at a meeting of the federal bureau of the Yabloko party, Roizman was nominated as a candidate for governor of the Sverdlovsk Region [6] . Pereverzev said that the nomination of Roizman is doubtful legally, since the federal bureau is entitled to such a decision only after the regional branch is closed (the activities of the Sverdlovsk branch of Yabloko were not formally terminated, but only suspended) [7] .
Despite leaving the leadership post, Yuri Pereverzev did not leave the party and in December 2017 he took part in the regional conference of the Sverdlovsk branch of Yabloko [8] .
Personal life
Married. Two children (son Danil 2000 and daughter Arina born in 2008) [1] .
