Alexander Alipkanovich Zhensykbaev Kaz. Alexander Әlіpқanұly Zheңsіkbaev (born 21.8.1947, Burgas , Bulgaria - died 04.09.2009, Almaty, Kazakhstan) - Soviet and Kazakhstani scientist, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics (1981), professor (1982), corresponding member National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1995), academician of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan (2003). Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize (1978).

Biography
- In 1970 he graduated from Dnepropetrovsk State University ;
- In 1973 he graduated from his graduate school;
- In 1973-1974 - an assistant;
- In 1974-1976 - senior lecturer of the Kazakh State University;
- In 1976-1981 - Associate Professor of the Kazakh State University;
- In 1979, in Alma-Ata, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Extreme properties of monosplines and the best quadrature formulas”, specialty 01.01.01. - "Mathematical analysis" [1] .
- 1981-1994 and 1997-1998 - Head of the Department at KSU;
- 1994-1997 - Deputy Head of the Almaty Higher Technical School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- 1997–2000 - Chairman of the Higher Certification Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan [2] [3] .
