Gorodishchenskaya cottage is a specially protected natural area , which refers to the complex type of natural monuments of regional significance. Located in the Tarasovsky district of the Rostov region of Russia . The total area is 407 ha [1] .

History
In the period from 1997 to 1999, members of the Rostov branch of the Russian Bird Conservation Union examined more than 30 nature conservation areas of the Rostov Region. 14 of these territories were assigned to the Key ornithological territories of International rank (Important Birds Areas), and information about them is available in the European and Russian catalogs [2] . According to the Decree of the Administration of the Rostov Region dated October 19, 2006 No. 418, the territory of the Gorodishchenskoye summer residence is nature conservation [1] .
Description
The reserve’s territory is located in the northwest of the Aleksandrovka settlement within the boundaries of the 82nd - 84th, 88th - 91st quarters of the Kryvyi Rih Forestry Division of the Donetsk Territorial Forestry Department. Centenary pine massif growing in this area is of scientific value to researchers [1] . Trees grow in the steppe zone and on sandy areas - the floodplain of the Kalitva River adjoins the territory of coniferous forests, floodplain groves are located in its areas. Forest area near the river is used for recreational purposes. In this area , dwarf eagles , eagle owl , European tuvik nest . Vultures are found. Gorodishchenskaya grove is the only place in the Rostov region on the territory of which a boreal owl builds its nests [3] .
