Starting March 1, 2018, UIDAI plans to introduce “virtual numbers” Aadhaar [4] - from 16 digits.

The AADHAAR code is used when receiving government subsidies by the population (including food [5] ), as an identity card , identification at workplaces, in the national payment system , etc. [6] .

Criticism

The creation of a single database of personal data raises the concerns of information security specialists. There are reports of successful hacking of both the mechanism for generating map parameters and administrative access to the database itself [7] [8] .
