Mirela Kumbaro ( Alb. Mirela Kumbaro ; born March 4, 1966 , Tirana [1] ) is an Albanian politician and translator. In 2013, she was elected Minister of Culture of Albania.

Biography
She graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages (French) of the University of Tirana in 1988, then studied at the Sorbonne. Since 2009 - Doctor of Philosophy in Translation Studies, and since 2012 she is an Associate Professor of Linguistics at the University of Tirana [2] .
Mirela Kumbaro is a translator (fluent in French and Italian , fluent in English ), publisher, international expert on intercultural projects and research programs of higher education institutions, implemented by international organizations like the European Union [2] .
Personal life
Married to Alexander Furgi and has two children: Sarah and Tom.
