The Great Dayak ( Indonesia. Dayak Besar, Dajak Besar , Niderl. Groot Dajak ) is an autonomous entity in the United States of Indonesia (United States) that existed in 1946 - 1950 and was located on the island of Kalimantan , in the region of compact dayak .

History
The Great Dayak was created on December 7, 1946 . The president was elected J. van Dyk, the temporary capital became the city of Banjarmasin . On December 27, 1949, the Great Dayak became a member of the United States of America as an autonomy. On April 18, 1950, autonomy was abolished; its territory became part of the province of Kalimantan. Nowadays, the territory of the former Great Dayak is a part of the province of Central Kalimantan .
