Evan Goldberg ( born Evan Goldberg ; born May 11, 1982) - Canadian screenwriter, film producer and director. He collaborated with his childhood friend Seth Rogen in several films, including Super Peppers (2007) (which they conceived as teenagers), Pineapple Express: Sitting, Smoking (2008), End of the World 2013: Apocalypse in Hollywood . (2013) (their directorial debut) and Interviews (2014).

Personal life
Goldberg was born in Vancouver , British Columbia , to a Jewish family. He grew up in Marpol. [1] He studied at Point Gray School (where he met Rogen) and McGill University . He is married to Lisa (Yadawaye) Goldberg. [2] [3]
Career
Goldberg began his screenwriting career when he joined the screenwriter lineup of The Ali G 's Show , along with his childhood friend and comedy partner Seth Rogen . He worked together on the films “ A Little Pregnant ,” “ Super Peppers ,” “ Pineapple Express: I Sit, Smoke ,” “ Funny People, ” and “The Green Hornet .” [4] In the hope of getting people interested and getting funding, Goldberg created a trailer called “Jay and Set Against the Apocalypse”, which later was the end of the world film 2013: Apocalypse Hollywood , which was released in June 2013. Goldberg and Rogen were ardent fans of the Simpsons. When they learned that the executive producer of the Simpsons, James L. Brooks, was a fan of Super Pepper, they decided to show the producers whether they could write the script for one episode. [5] [6] They were invited to the Simpsons screenwriters room, where they suggested several ideas for the episode. One of them was accepted and scripted with the support of some of the main script writers of the show. [7] The script turned into an episode of Homer the Whopper , which became the premiere of the twenty-first season .
