Biography

Born on January 7, 1942 in the city of Korkino, Chelyabinsk region.

In 1964 he graduated from the Trinity Veterinary Institute .

He began working in 1964 as a livestock specialist in the state-owned factory Russia, and later became deputy director of this enterprise.

In 1973, he graduated from the graduate school of the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, defending a Ph.D. thesis.

From 1973 to 1975 - chief livestock specialist of the USSR Ministry of Agriculture.

From 1975 to 1984, he taught at the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy.

From 1984 to 2011 - rector of the Ural State Academy of Veterinary Medicine (Trinity Veterinary Institute).

In 1989 - was elected People's Deputy of the USSR from the Trinity Territorial Electoral District No. 341 of the Chelyabinsk Region.

In 1990 - he defended his doctoral dissertation, in 1991 he was awarded the academic title of professor.

In 1991-1993, he served as the first deputy head of the administration of the Chelyabinsk region, combining these duties with the post of rector.

In 2004, 2005 and 2009, the Academy was awarded the international award "Gold Medal" European Quality "in the nomination" 100 Best Russian Universities ", and Viktor Nikolayevich was awarded the Honorary Badges" Rector of the Year 2004 "," Rector of the Year 2005 "," Rector of the year 2009. "

From 1997 to 2012 - headed the Department of Genetics and Breeding of Farm Animals.

He died on November 24, 2016. He was buried in the city cemetery of Troitsk.

Scientific and social activities

He dealt with the issues of creating a breeding herd of dairy cattle in the state-owned plant "Russia", the rational use of livestock resources in the zone of the South Urals and Northern Kazakhstan.

He is the author of 230 scientific and methodological works, including 2 textbooks for universities, 10 monographs, 6 patents for inventions.

Under his leadership, 51 candidate and 5 doctoral dissertations were defended.
