The cave was discovered by chance during construction work in 2008 while preparing a site for the foundation of a new house [3] [4] . The cave is known for its archaeological finds of flint and bone artifacts [5] , geologically, it is an active stalactite cave [6] . Manot Cave consists of a long hall, 80 meters long and 10 to 25 meters wide. The two lower chambers approach it from the north and south. There are many stalagmites in the cave. Archaeological finds indicate that for at least the last 15 thousand years the cave has been completely isolated [4] . The oldest skull of the representative of the species Homo sapiens outside of Africa Manot 1 was discovered during the initial period of exploration of the Manot cave in 2008 [5] . The value of the find was found out after a detailed scientific analysis. The first article about the find was published in the online edition of Nature dated January 28, 2015 [7] [8] . The skull box of a reliable representative of Homo sapiens , found in the Karot cave of Manot, dates from the age of 51.8 ± 4.5 or 54.7 ± 5.5 thousand years [9] [10] .
