Biography

Born in a Russian peasant family. After graduating from elementary school, he worked as a manager in a village club. Drafted into the Red Army in August 1939 . He fought on the South-West , 1st Ukrainian , 2nd Ukrainian and 3rd Ukrainian fronts.

On August 18-19, 1943 , during the Belgorod-Kharkov operation , he destroyed two firing points and two platoons of enemy soldiers - for these actions he was awarded the medal “For Courage” .

On November 20 of the same year, near the village of Luganka ( Kirovograd region , USSR ), 50 soldiers and a heavy machine gun of the enemy were destroyed. For this feat was awarded the medal "For Military Merit . "

During the Odessa offensive operation, destroyed 5 firing points and approximately 50 enemy soldiers. Having been wounded, he continued to remain in service until the end of the battle. Subsequently, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

In July 1944, he destroyed two machine-gun points and about 30 enemy soldiers, for which he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

During the Berlin offensive, he damaged an enemy tank and destroyed about 10 enemy soldiers.

In May 1946 he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree.

In World War II he was twice wounded. Left in reserve in May 1946. He worked on a livestock farm, then on a construction site. In 1978, retired.

He died on November 29, 1992 in the village of Zyryansk, Tomsk Region , and was buried there.
