Geraldo Gilberto ( port. Geraldo Gilberto , born April 16, 1962) - Brazilian painter, teacher. He graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin . Biography
Born April 16, 1962 in São Paulo, Brazil . At the age of 16 he became a member of the Association of Artists of São Paulo . The teachers of Gilberto in different years were the Spanish painter Salvador Rodriguez Junior, the painters Giovanni Opidu and Sante Bullo.
In 1999 he came to Russia, studied for a year at the Moscow Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov in Moscow at preparatory courses. In 2000 he moved to St. Petersburg, entered the State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin . During his studies at the institute, he studied with such teachers as: Yu. V. Kalyuta, V. I. Stetsenko, S. A. Pichakhchi, G. I. Manasherov, V. V. Sokolov , V. F. Rudnev and V. A Mogilevites. In 2007 he defended his diploma with honors, entitled "Brazilian Indians."
Geraldo received the highest awards in prestigious art competitions in Brazil, and was a member of the jury in many other art salons. The artist constantly takes part in personal and group exhibitions. The artist's works are in private collections in Brazil , Russia , USA , China , France , Spain and other countries.
In 2007, Gilberto became a member of the Russian Union of Artists of St. Petersburg .
